COACHING · FACILITATION · LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Above the inversion, leaders see clearly.

Most leaders I work with aren’t struggling because they lack ability. They’re struggling because something is distorting their view. Of themselves. Of what’s possible. Of who they’re becoming.

They’re operating inside the cloud layer. Under the inversion — where the noise of politics, pressure and performance sits between them and a clear perspective.

My work is about helping them rise above the inversion. Into the clarity where real development happens.

ABOUT THE INVERSION

Why “Inversion”?

A temperature inversion is a meteorological quirk — a layer of warm air sitting above cooler air, trapping everything beneath it.

Below the inversion, cloud, limited visibility, the grey weight of not being able to see clearly. Above the inversion, sharp air, open sky, visibility for miles all around.

Leaders in complex organisations experience something similar: too close to the noise, the politics, the day-to-day - they lose the altitude to lead. Seniority doesn't put you above it. Only clarity does.

That's the work: finding the line, and getting above it, to a clear view of what's actually true — about yourself, your options, and what's really going on around you.

This is high-challenge, precise coaching and facilitation for leaders who already know a lot and need a trusted partner to help them see what they can't from where they stand

“The most important work often happens not in solving the problem, but in seeing it clearly

WHO I SERVE

Where do you recognise yourself?

Leadership growth is rarely linear. Different moments call for different kinds of support — for individuals finding their footing, and for the organisations investing in them.

INDIVIDUALS

Getting here took real effort: the performance, the pressure, the version of yourself you built along the way. But climbing isn't the same as clearing. You can do everything right and still be under the cloud… successful, but not yet leading with the clarity to match it.

You’ve got the role. You haven’t caught up with it yet.

The leader at the edge

  • Closing the gap between title and self belief

  • Managing reactivity when the stakes feel high

  • Leading with presence, not just authority

  • Navigating and leading through change

You’ve hit every mark. You’re not convinced they were ever the goal.

The accomplished but adrift

  • Understanding why achievement hasn’t settled the doubt

  • Separating your worth from what you produce

  • Reconnecting with what you actually want, not what looks right

  • Building something that’s genuinely yours

You’ve earned your place. Proving it hasn’t stopped.

The one who doesn’t fit the mould

  • Reconnecting with who you are underneath the adaptations

  • Building resilience that doesn’t require you to shrink

  • Showing up authentically without bracing for the cost

  • Creating belonging for yourself, not just for everyone around you

ORGANISATIONS

Effort isn't the bottleneck. Most organisations are full of people working hard, hitting marks, doing everything right. What's rarer is the clarity, in individuals and in the room, that turns that effort into high impact leadership.

Your high performers are capable of more. They know it too.

Investing in your people

  • Coaching that develops and retains the people worth keeping

  • Support through the moments that define a leader's trajectory

  • Confidence that outlasts the engagement

You have the vision. You need someone who can make it land in the room.

Bringing leadership development to life

  • Facilitation that creates real shifts, not just good feedback scores

  • Experiences built around your context, not delivered off the shelf

  • Leaving people somewhere they wouldn't have reached alone

Maya Harris, founder of Inversion Leadership, executive coach and facilitator

About Maya

I coach leaders who are capable of more than they currently believe. I facilitate rooms where something real happens. I build with organisations who take their people seriously.

Before this, I spent the last decade as a learning portfolio manager, coach and Master Faculty at McKinsey & Company — creating and delivering leadership programmes for some of the most capable professionals in the world. I know what it looks like when talented people are performing well but not quite thriving, and I know the difference a good conversation can make. It's the work I cared about most there, and it's the work I do now, without everything else around it.

Inversion Leadership exists because the most powerful shifts I've witnessed — in others and in myself — have come from turning the question around. Not "what do I need to do differently" but "who do I need to become to see clearly." Not someone else. Just someone with the clarity to lead more of what matters.

WHAT I OFFER

Work designed to bring the confidence and clarity that stepping above brings

01

Executive & Leadership Coaching

One-to-one coaching for leaders navigating complexity — a new role, a strategic inflection point or the quieter challenge of leading differently.

This isn't coaching that hands you what to do. This is coaching that works on how you show up, internally and externally, in the room you're leading, and what becomes possible because of it.

We share a commitment that new insight on its own isn’t enough. Together we co-design practices that embed changes in behaviour, so new ways of being and leading become accessible under pressure — not just in learning spaces.

02

Facilitation & Learning Programmes

Delivery of leadership development programmes from personal leadership and values through to team dynamics, feedback, problem-solving and more. I can bring engagement to sessions of your design, or co-create experiences that meet your needs as an organisation.

I create environments where people feel genuinely safe and then use that safety to guide them somewhere they wouldn’t have gone alone.

HOW I WORK

Every engagement is different — because you are.
But the shape is usually the same.

We start with a conversation.

No agenda, no pitch, no commitment. Just an honest exploration of where you are and whether I’m the right person to help.

We figure out what’s needed.

Sometimes that’s coaching over several months. Sometimes it’s a single session, workshop or something we create together from scratch.

2

We do the work.

The aim is to help you see more clearly and open up what's possible — through deep engagement and thoughtful challenge, not a fixed methodology.

3

We reflect on what’s shifted.

An honest look at what’s changed, what’s still in motion, and what comes next.

4

Ready to get started?

We start with an open conversation about your goals.
